Kala Alexander
A hoale’s biggest fear coming to the North Shore. Kala is the founder of the Wolfpak, the most dominant surf tribe in the islands today, and can be seen all winter policing the lineup at Pipeline. He is a very prominent figure on the North Shore and where is roots lie, Kauai. Kala is considered a hero and a bully alike, depending on who you talk to. Traveling surfers may not like the strong-arm tactics and intimidation, but he serves a purpose, he preserves order. In the late nineties, before he and his crew began to make their impression felt, there was a lack of respect at Pipe. The Wolfpak, Da Hui and the Pipeline Posse make sure the right people get the right waves. He is also a star of the Fuel TV show “The 808″ and played a badass local in the film “Blue Crush” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall and recently in TV show Hawaii Five-0″
